Cell Biology of Gene Expression Group

Tom Misteli received a Ph.D. from the University of London, U.K. for work carried out at the Imperial Cancer Research Fund, London, UK. He was a post-doctoral fellow at the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, NY, where he initiated the use of in vivo imaging techniques to visualize gene expression processes in living cells. Tom Misteli is currently a Principal Investigator and heads the Cell Biology of Gene Expression Group. His laboratory studies the role of architecture of the mammalian cell nucleus in gene expression and regulation.
